Selected Target Audience : The Revenant

Audience summary:

The audience for The Revenant is predominately male, due to the themes of the film and its character portrayal. The film has an age rating of 15+, however in Task 2 I predicted that the films target audience is likely between the ages of 20-30. This is due to nature of the film and its long run time, meaning its more of a commitment to watch as not the entire film is action/fighting.

The creative process:

This is the process which transforms an idea into its final form through a series of thoughts and actions. The creative process includes problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Proposal:

For my proposal is for a movie poster. I want it to serve the purpose to present the theme of the movie without giving too much away.I’m going to ensure that my design doesn’t appear too cluttered but at the same time I want to avoid having too much or little text. Keeping in mind the locations of where movie posters usually end up, its important that they’re memorable or unique as they’re in high traffic areas such as; billboards, bus stops, train stations and inside and outside of cinemas. I will make my production unique by using color to create energy and attract the eye, I will also experiment with a limited color pallet and bold lines to see what works best.
